catch..
Just now my friend's injured foot got hit by a cart, luckily I was standing close enough to her to hold her up..
I'll catch you when you fall..
But I didn't see that the cart was going to hit her foot, and she got hurt as a result..
I won't always be there to warn you, won't always be on the lookout for you, because I'm looking out for myself.. But I'll always be there to catch you when something happens.. If I can't catch you, I'll give you a hug, sit with you til your pain goes away.. Because.. that's what friends are for.. right?
Yesterday, I was talking to my friend about how silly we were in secondary school, how when we looked back at the pictures we took, we laugh at how cool we used to think we were. Even though we were silly and naive at that time, life was so much simpler and happier back then.. Growing up corrupts innocence.. Friendship at that time was simple.. we gossip in class, write letters, go for recess together and that's about all.. Now, its all about manipulation, struggling to find time to meet, not having enough time for ourselves to think much less to spend time with each other.. As we grow up, friendships become more superficial rather than deeper and more meaningful. Sad isn't it? Man is a social creature. Well, supposedly. Because apparently we aren't being very sociable. How important are friends? Or do we just want someone to have lunch with?
