I have a fairy godfriend. She grants all my wishes (albeit unspoken) and makes me happy. I don't see her very often, I talk to her even less. But suddenly she appeared and made my life wonderful. On Tuesday, she bought me tickets to watch the American Idol concert, which I had wanted desperately to attend, but had no one willing to go with me. She treated me to a great dinner at Cafe Cartel, and sent me home after the concert. Today, she arranged some surprise little song-singing cake-cutting ceremony with some of my school friends. Who were there despite their being late for lecture. Maybe it was the cake. But she was there and she did it all. And I was really touched. I haven't had anyone make such a fuss over my birthday since.. ever.. I've never had anyone outside of my family treat my birthday as a big deal. But it happened this week. And I would say, turning 20 isn't so bad after all. As for my fairy godfriend, I think I'm keeping her. It's not very often you find a good friend like that. I thank God for my fairy godfriend who grants all my wishes and makes me happy. I love her beaucoup.
