If only.. If only I knew what would happen before I decided, if only I knew the consequences of my actions, if only I knew whether it would turn out good or bad.. Here are some of my if onlys..
If only I knew that the parking fines were an omen to buy 4D, I would be rolling in cash. Unfortunately, I just paid the fines and didn't think of 4D. Hence, I'm scraping the barrel for coins.
If only there was a good tsunami warning system in the South Asia region. Unfortunately, there wasn't, and the underwater earthquake created a tsunami that killed 165,000 people.
If only I followed my instincts at the beginning and didn't let my feelings blind me. Unfortunately, I ignored the lie (or the withholding of truth, whichever you want to call it) and now bear the emotional baggage.
If only I checked my blind spot and didn't simply dash into the next lane. Unfortunately, I didn't, and got into an accident, and had to fork out money to pay for the damages.
If only I had studied harder and not procrastinated. Unfortunately, I found so many other things to do that I neglected my studies and ended up with lousy results.
If only I knew then what I know now. Unfortunately, life can never be that way.
Life isn't perfect, it can't be perfect, if not what's the point of living? Regrets make us more careful the next time around, but if we keep harping on our if onlys, and what we should have dones, we'll never really get the chance to LIVE.. Existing isn't living. An existence isn't a life.
